About Penn Ridge Farms
Penn Ridge Farms is a state-of-the-art Thoroughbred breeding facility located just outside Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in the heart of the fertile Susquehanna Valley. The farm is situated on over 130 acres of pristine pasture land and is the realization of a dream of Michael W. Jester, who envisioned creating a Kentucky-caliber breeding operation in the heart of the Keystone State.
Penn Ridge's inaugural breeding season in 2008 featured one stallion, 1998 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner Real Quiet, and in 2009, the accomplished sires Cat Thief and Trust N Luck joined the roster. In 2010, Monba joined the stallion stable at Penn Ridge Farms. Penn Ridge has also opened up its operation to clients who wish to take advantage of the lucrative PA-Bred program by boarding and foaling in the state. It’s an exciting time to be involved in the breeding industry in Pennsylvania, and there’s no better place to be than Penn Ridge.
“I believe that our superb facility and this impressive stallion roster offer the best choice for breeders wanting to keep their mares in the state to become eligible for our lucrative PA breeding and racing program. We offer seasonal boarding and foaling and also provide exceptional facilities for year-round residents.” ~ Michael W. Jester, Owner of Penn Ridge Farms
